Pacific Sea Surface Temperature Data (Namias-Born)

Pacific Sea Surface Temperature Data (DSI-9792) is a historical digital data set in archive at the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). The major parameters which make up this data file are gridded monthly mean sea surface temperatures. This Pacific SST data set (Namias-Born) was compiled by Scripps Institution of Oceanography located in Lajolla, California and was sent to the NCDC October, 1982. These data contains Northern Pacific mean monthly sea surface temperature values. These data represent a gridded 9 by 25 latitude/longitude array with 9 latitude rows from 60 degrees north to 20 degrees north and 25 longitude columns 110 degrees west to 130 degrees east. This gridded data is stored in records such that one latitude row is given in a single record. The values are monthly means in tenths of degree Fahrenheit centered on 5 degree latitude- longitude intersections for the period of January 1947 through December 1981. Missing mean temperature values are reported as 999.
