This dataset includes continuous sea surface measurements of pCO2, temperature, salinity and atmospheric pressure data during the R/V Marion Dufresne OISO-30 cruise (EXPOCODE 35MV20200106) in Indian Ocean from 2020-01-06 to 2020-02-01. The OISO program (Océan Indien Service d'Observations), initiated in 1998, collects measurements of pCO2 and associated parameters (T, S, DIC, TALK, nutrients, Chl-a, 13C) along the repeated lines of R.V. Marion-Dufresne in the South-Western Indian and Southern Oceans; this coverage is a complement of the international CO2 observing system (IOCCP). The OISO data are regularly included in international data synthesis (SOCAT, GLODAP).

Purpose The OISO time-series data: 1) contribute to the annual evaluation of the global carbon budget by regularly feeding international data bases, notably SOCAT and GLODAP; 2) provide a better understanding of air-sea CO2 flux variability, anthropogenic CO2 and acidification in the South Indian and Southern oceans. 3) provide in situ observations for the calibration and validation of autonomous observations (e.g., satellite data, Argo, BioArgo and CARIOCA floats, marine mammals equipped with oceanographic sensors); 4) document environmental changes related to climate variability and evaluate the impact on marine organisms.
