This dataset contains satellite telemetry location data collected from a Wildlife Computers SPOT5 tag (ptt 94821) deployed on a Blainville's beaked whale (Mesoplodon densirostris) by Robin W Baird in the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary and North Pacific Ocean from 2009-12-21 to 2010-01-11. The data were collected as part of the Odontocete Tagging in the Main Hawaiian Islands, 2007-2025 project, and contributed by the Cascadia Research Collective. The data were submitted to the U.S. Animal Telemetry Network (ATN) Data Assembly Center, and were aggregated, managed, and displayed through the ATN data portal hosted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) office. These data were made available as netCDF files to the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) for ATN by Axiom Data Science.
