This dataset contains satellite telemetry location data collected from a Wildlife Computers SPLASH tag (ptt 85853) deployed on a ribbon seal (Histriophoca fasciata) by Josh M London in the Arctic Ocean, Bering Sea, Chukchi Sea, Hudson Bay, and Kara Sea from 2009-06-05 to 2010-03-18. The data were collected as part of the A Dataset from Bio-loggers Deployed on Ribbon Seals (Histriophoca fasciata) and Spotted Seals (Phoca largha) in the Bering Sea, 2005-2018 project, and contributed by the Marine Mammal Laboratory, NOAA Alaska Fisheries Science Center. The data were submitted to the U.S. Animal Telemetry Network (ATN) Data Assembly Center, and were aggregated, managed, and displayed through the ATN data portal hosted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) office. These data were made available as netCDF files to the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) for ATN by Axiom Data Science.
