The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

| Title: |
Hawaii Coral Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (CRAMP) benthic data and still images from 2016-06-07 to 2016-08-09 on Maui (NCEI Accession 0222143) |
| Abstract: |
This dataset consists of digital still images along coral reef transect lines, from which quantitative benthic data are derived from select images via PhotoGrid, a software package that analyzes random points on digital still images of coral reefs and substrate. The benthic data include substrate type and species identification. A total of 20 transects of the Hawaii Coral Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (CRAMP) took place 2016-06-07 to 2016-08-09 at 10 sites on Maui. Only every other image was analyzed in PhotoGrid. Most sites consist of two transects along different isobaths-- shallow (~2-4m) and deep (~7-13m) lines. CRAMP has surveyed state-wide coral reefs quasi-annually since 1999 with all historic sets archived at NOAA/NESDIS/NCEI. |
