| Abstract: | This data collection includes data from multiple SVP and APEX argo drifters deployed in the region around the Hawaiian Islands to assess ocean currents and sea surface temperature. SVP and APEX drifter data files contain drifter ids, year, month, day, hour, minute, second, GPS latitude and longitude. Drifter data was collected hourly. All dates and times are UTC. Contact Coral Reef Ecosystem Division (CRED), NOAA Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center for more information. http://www.pifsc.noaa.gov/cred/oceanography.php The data files (.dbf) do not include temperature measurements. Temperature observations for these argo drifters might be available from the Global Argo Data Repository at http://www.nodc.noaa.gov/argo/latest_data.html. |
