File Description: MB-9, Shallow Marine Benthic Macro Algae Data for all stations
        February - April 1994; August - September 1994.

Sampling Stations:
        Sand Island - adjacent to te Honolulu Wastewater Treatment Plant;
Barbers Point - in the vicinity of the Honouliuli Wastewater
                        Treatment Plant outfall pipe
Waikiki - control site offshore of the Natatorium War Memorial
Queen's Surf Beach on the east side of Waikiki Beach

Pairs of permanently marked stations were establxhed at each of three depths:
at or less than 5m depth
        at approximately 15m depth
        at about 30m depth
Adjacent to each transect site, algal biomass samples were collected using scuba
and a 45cm diameter ring and removal of all macrothalloid algae within the ring
Four replicate samples were collected at each depth at each station
Each replicate sample was bagged, labeled and brought back to
the laboratory on Coconut Island, Oahu
In the laboratory, the dominant algal species were sorted
and all algae was oven-dried to constant wight for an estimat of biomass
Major Components of the Algal Biomass were identified to Genus
       Weights were measured to 1/10,000g
