Source: These data were submitted by Anne Ball of the NOAA Coastal
Services Center (CSC) to NODC via FTP. The data files are a resubmission
of files originally sent from CSC to NODC on DVD-ROM in 2002. The
content of the original disc was compared and verified as a duplicate of
the files sent via FTP. The original disc contained data files from
several areas: each area has been assigned to a distinct NODC accession.

Data in this NODC accession are a set of regional Florida benthic
habitat data in GIS shapefile format.

Actions: The files
         FL_ApalachicolaBay_benthos.zip
         FL_ApalachicolaBay_rox.zip
         FL_ApalachicolaBay_sedgrabs.zip
         FL_ApalachicolaBay_spi.zip
         FL_DryTortugas_rox.ZIP
         FL_IndianRiverLagoon.zip
         FL_FloridaBay_benthos.zip

were unzipped and the contents placed in \0001045\data\0-data\.
Each zip file was extracted to a matching subdirectory in
the 0-data directory. Browse graphics for each habitat
region were generated at the NODC and placed in the about
         directory.

The original .zip files were then deleted
         from this accession.

tx_*.jpg and tx_*.tif - Representative browse graphics generated
from each regional data file in this collection..

0-email.txt - Email from NOAA CSC requesting that the data be archived at
              NODC.

data/0-data/
This directory contains the data and metadata files as submitted to NODC.
These data are regional benthic GIS data shapefiles (.shp, .dbf, .shx, and .prj)
with associated Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) metadata files in .txt
and .xml format. These data may be represented as GIS points or polygons,
depending on the data type.

Each set of regional files was placed in an individual subdirectory.
