Ship (station) name: R/V "Akademic Vernadsky" (MHI, Sevastopol)
Expedition: cruise number 32, June, 1985.
Parameters: depth, temperature (T), salinity (Sal),
            chlorophyll"a" (chl"a")
Instruments and methods: Depth, temperature, salinity were measured
with  a  bathysonde "Istok".
For measurement of chlorophyll"a" 3-5 l water were
filtered through 0,6 mkm membrane filters. Determination of chlorop-
hyll"a" was carried out soon after sampling on board. Chlorophyll"a"
concentrations were determined fluorimetrically (Yentsch and Men-
zel,1965; Lorenzen,1967). The analysis was carried by use laboratory
fluorimeter constracted on the base of spectrophotometer "Specol" fit-
ted with a red sensitive photomultiplication, blue lamp, blue filter
and red filter. Calibration of fluorimeter was made with pure chlorop-
hyll"a" in 90% acetone with its concentration first measured on a
spectrophotometers.
Accuracy: The error of: depth -  +-1 dbar;
                        temperature -  +-0,01 grad C
                        salinity -  +-0,03 %o
                        chlorophyll"a" - +-0,01 mg/m^3
