CTD Data for SOIREE Cruise in Excel Format

There is one Excel .xls file for each down cast and one for each up
cast. File names are of the form t1101_1.xls for the down cast and
t1101_1u.xls for the up cast; where t is the station register; 1101,
the station number; and 1, the cast number.

Each file contains one worksheet with the following labeled data:

	Circumstances
Cruise (Cruise Number - always 3052)
Register (Station Register - always T)
Station (Station Number)
Cast (Cast Number)
Up (1 for up cast, 0 for down cast)
Start Time [UTC]
End Time [UTC]
Latitude [] (Start latitude)
Longitude [] (Start longitude)

	2-decibar bin-averaged data
Pressure [decibars] (*u)
Temperature [C, ITS-90] (*u)
Salinity [PSS-78] (*u)
Fluorescence [Volts] (*)
Transmission [%] (*)
PAR [Volts] (*)

All circumstances or metadata have been quality controlled.

All 2-decibar bin-averaged data have been calibrated and quality
controlled, with the exception of:

*	Fluorescence, Transmission and PAR for both down and up
	casts.

*u	Pressure, Temperature and Salinity for up casts.

The up cast data are included for completeness and are inherently
limited as a source of high accuracy hydrographic data because
of the location of the temperature and conductivity sensors in
the wake of the underwater package.

Extremely large values (like 2.6965397022935E+308) in the
2-decibar bin-averaged data indicate data that are missing
or flagged as bad.
