Subject: data submission

Hello Francis,

Attached is file: RUDE_CTD_ARCHIVE.zip.
It contains 138 CTD cast files acquired during the 2004 season by the
NOAA Ship RUDE.

Each file is in the WHOI CTD Exchange Format. As we discussed last
week, the format of the headers will be modified for the 2005 season.
Also, the quality code will not be included.

Also, files 1-6 and 8-10 were generated by an older version of our
software so that the headers in these files do not include the Project,
Survey, and Instrument. However all the data files were obtained using
a Sea-Bird Electronics SEACAT 19 Profiler, Serial Number 1991.

Pressure and Temperature are obtained directly from the SEACAT.
Salinity is derived using Sea-Bird's software, SBEDataProcessing. All 3
variables have been averaged into depth bins and then fitted to
1-decibar intervals by means of parabolic fitting.

Thanks for your help,
Ruby
