		Dear Melanie

All the files have been generated and are available on
ftp.ifremer.fr
login : ext-ifr

cd coriolis/etc/US_NODC

The data concerned by the file 2005 is from 1/1 to 31/october
Early 2006, I will send you a file with the 2 remaining months for 2005

I hope that it is OK for you

     With my best regards

Loic, We have received files in the past in the TSDC, SEQUAL and the GTSPP
medsascii formats. Don't worry about the past, we can work with either
this format or the netCDF format.

Regards, Melanie

Once the temporary tables have been prepared it is easy for me to
generate other formats.
Do you prefer something else ? NetCDF
I don't remember in what format our last exchanges have been done

With my best regards

Loic

 Loic,

Thanks again for this dataset. The format for this file
is very different from other exchange files we have received
from SISMER. We can work with this format. I may contact
you again regarding further clarification of the format. Please go
ahead and provide the data for the other years.
 Regards, Melanie

         Dear Melanie,

Finally we prepared a MEDSASCII file.
Here is the 1st file for 2000

There are 5933 profiles that we have collected from French and
 European vessels

there are also 21 profiles from call sign 18FN0000. This is a
mistake. We got them from MEDS

Could you, please, check that you can use the format ?
and then I shall send you the data for the following years.

Do need I regenerate year 2000 without call sign 18FN0000

      With my best regards

 Loic

 The file is on

 ftp.ifremer.fr
 login : ext-ifr
 password : pezfal

 cd coriolis/etc/US_NODC

 Loic,
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I will be happy to accept

the French data (including your European partners) in netCDF. I look
forward to hearing from you. Regards, Melanie

        Dear Melanie,

I apologise for my late answer. I was away from home last week
and for the moment I am attending an Argo meeting in Paris (I am
sitting nearby Bob Molinari).
I hope also that you are well. I am well

I shall not be back to the office until 3rd of November
There is no problem to provide you the french delayed mode XBT
 data.
However, as we mergerd our 2 databases (GSDC and Coriolis) I am
not sure that I shall be able to generate Medsascii files (I have
to check). It will be easy to generate NetCDF Argo format files or
 Ascii files (Medatlas format).
Are you interested by only french data, or are you also
interested by XBT data collected from our european partners (especially in
 the Mediterranean area) ?
I will contact you back by end of next week and I will send you
a file sample. You will tell me if you can proceed with it.
With my best and friendly regards

Loic

 Loic,
Good morning, It's been quite a long while since I've contacted
you. I hope this e-mail finds you well. I am in need of your
 assistance.
Is it possible to acquire the delayed mode XBT data for
observation years 2000 and onward? I'm putting together an
annual file of XBT data for Bob Molinari, and noticed that I don't have any
delayed data for the French XBT Network. I spent some time searching several
websites, and found that IRD submitted the XBT network to the
GSDC. If you are able to write the data in the medsascii (GTSPP)
format, that would be great. If not, I understand. I will accept the data in
 whatever format is available.

Regards, Melanie
