Hello Francis,

Attached is a zip file containing 85 CTD cast files acquired during the
2005 season by three of the NOAA Ship RAINIER's launches.

Unfortunately, these files were created in an old version of our
software. They are in the WHOI CTD Exchange Format and do not include
the Project, Survey, and Instrument name. However all the data files
were obtained using a Sea-Bird Electronics SEACAT 19 Plus Profiler. The
serial number is given by the field INST.

Pressure and Temperature are obtained directly from the SEACAT.
Salinity is derived using Sea-Bird's software, SBEDataProcessing. All
three variables have been averaged into depth bins and then fitted to
1-decibar intervals by means of parabolic fitting.

All the filenames have format YYDDDHHM.ssA, where:
YY = 2-digit year
DDD = day-of-year
HH = hour of day (UTC)
M = first digit of the minutes of the hour
ss  indicates the vessel: R3, R4, R5 for RAINIER's launches # 3, 4, 5.
A indicates archive file.

I have some more RAINIER files to send but they will be in the newer format.
Ruby
