Source: Biogeochemical observations compiled as part of the Southeastern
Universities Research Association (SURA) testbed Shelf Hypoxia project.
	Matlab data files downloaded from
        http://memg.ocean.dal.ca/fennelk/wip/SURA/data/for_SH_and_CY/
with permission from Dr. Katja Fennel (Dalhousie University).

Version3.3 Preliminary data from the project MCH (a series of NOAA NGOMEX programs led by
Steven DiMarco of Texas A&M) were removed in this version of NODC Accession 0073142.
NODC accession 0088164 contains an updated data of project MCH
(see http://accession.nodc.noaa.gov/0088164).

------------------------------

Actions: These data were copied to data/0-data and the Matlab files were converted
to comma separated value (CSV) and placed in data/1-data.

Files:
about/
This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0-email.txt - Original email correspondence between NODC staff and Dr. Katja Fennel
               regarding archival of these data

0073142_lonlat.txt - Contains sample locations for these data. Each row
contains the geographical position where these data were
collected (longitude in the left column and latitude in the
right column, both in degrees). NODC may have corrected
geographic positions that seemed to be in error when
generating this file. However, NODC did not change the
original data files under the directory data/0-data/.

0073142_map.jpg - station locations for these data.

data/0-data/
Under this directory are the original files that were uncompressed and copied to this directory.
This directory contains SURA data overview and documentation (two pdf files)and the data itself
(several Matlab files split by source and one combined file).

data/1-data/
This directory contains files that were converted by NODC from their originally submitted format
under the data/0-data/ directory to an archival format. The conversion from Matlab to ASCII text
was done by Dr. Scott Cross (NCDDC).

*.csv - Comma-separated-value (CSV) files that NODC converted from the
Matlab files in data/0-data. There is one CSV file for each Matlab file.
