Hi Errol and Katie,

I just read through the recent email threads, these will be excellent improvements, and Errol thanks for digging into this. I'm uncertain why the InPort record is included as a pdf, I think we've provided the output so anything useful could be incorporated into the NCEI metadata, in particular the data attributes for the csv data file. If it's important to have that output from InPort as a pdf we can certainly update and send new output; otherwise, does the NCEI record provide a hyperlink to the InPort record?

Brian, if you prefer I can remove the InPort data from the archive and provide a link to it on the Documentation tab. Just reply with your confirmation that it is OK to remove that data for the revision. Thanks!

Thanks, Errol, that makes sense. May we please move forward with the “major revision?” You linked to the correct site/data.

Thanks for your help! Let me know if I can help with anything.

Hi Katie,

Yes and no - we can't overwrite, edit, or replace any data that is archived-published. We can do a major revision and replace the data file with the updated file of the new version, and in that case both versions will be published and available online. NCEI will add a note on the archive to let users know which is the most recent data. Would you like to request a major revision to replace the data in: https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/archive/accession/0128189 ?

Hello Errol and Brian,

Unfortunately I found an error with a couple site counts for 2017 so I've updated just those two counts in the attached file. Can we override what's posted now for this correct version, please (I worked off the latest edited version)?

Thanks, Katie
