Hi Katharine,

The investigator does not know the difference between the .cnv files with and without
the (1) suffix in the file name in data package L67J4E.

Please use the title “Conductivity, temperature, depth, water quality and pigment data from
R/V Bellows cruise BE-1311, 2012-12-12 to 2012-12-14” for the accession.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Hi Sandra,

These questions are in reference to S2N Package L67J4E or Accession 0159411 "CONDUCTIVITY, WATER TEMPERATURE,
and others collected from R/V Bellows in Gulf of Mexico from 2012-12-12 to 2012-12-14":

Could we use the title you have for your reference,"Conductivity, temperature, depth, water quality and
pigment data from R/V Bellows cruise BE-1311, 2012-12-12 to 2012-12-14" for the title of the accession as well?

Also, can you please send a 'read me' style document explaining the differences between the two similarly
named .cnv files (one has a (1) suffix indicating it is a potential copy) in each of the folders of this package.
This will be included in the archive submission so that the end user will fully understand the data contained
in this package. From looking over the files, it appears to me that one of the .cnv files has then entire CTD
profile and the other has the bin averaged data, but this needs to be better documented for the archive.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
