Hi Chris,

One new file on my anonymous ftp: kakapo.ucsd.edu:/pub/for_nodc/

SIO_p38_2006.tar.gz          (yes, data from 2006)

Items of note:

1) I modified the "PL" QC code (Premature Launch) from 2 to 5.

    I choose the (dn,tn) pair of "splash", then shift entire temperature
    profile up in depth (tn becomes t1, tn+1 => t2, etc).

    *Previously* I labeled only the new surface value as:

    d1 t1 {class=}2 PL                  <== OLD    {}=info only
    d2 t2 {class=}2

    This old labelling did not archive the "removed" temperatures.

    *New* I'm using the exact same method but now I'm labeling:

    d1 t1 {class=}5 PL original-t1      <== NEW
    d2 t2 {class=}5 PL original-t2      <== NEW
    ...
    dn tn {class=}2

    Switching to class=2 at the depth (dn) that was chosen as splash,
    (and original-tn moved to t1).

    I don't think this will affect your processing since Norm knows
    class 5 is "changed" and the original data exists, but I'm not sure.

2) p380601 collected using SIO's old DOS K98 program with MK12 card,
    so only 2 meter "e" file format exists.

3) p380608 & 0612 both contain full depth resolution "q" files.

4) These three were not submitted previously in delayed mode.

Let me know if you have questions or problems.

Thanks,
Lisa
