Hi Hernan,

I guess you are speaking about the field " Correl [count] " ?

This field correspond indeed to a corellation, in RDI (the manufacturer)
definition. It is a measure of data quality. The unit is "count". It
measures the signal to noise ratio.

    Dear Dr. Hernan Garcia,

The adcp files you received are indeed not straightforward to
understand. They correspond to raw binary files (.STA and .LTA) which were
converted into ASCII files using the software VMDAS.

Here is a description of the fields:

    - EAA: Echo Amplitude Average
    - C5: Correlation average
    - BD: Bottom track depth for the four antenna

We usually do not use directly those files but rather convert them
using a software we developped. Thus I will not be able to give you more
information about them.

Instead I send you the files we usually use. They correspond to the
files we sent you, which were processed to be easily readable . Please
find them enclosed.

    Best regards
