Hi there Tom here is the responses to your points. And my apologies again
for my tardiness. I have attached a spread sheet with the definitions.

The complete citation for the publication is:
Crockford, P.W., Wing, B.A., Paytan, A., Hodgskiss, M.S., Mayfield, K.K., Hayles,
J.A., Middleton, J.E., Ahm, A.S.C., Johnston, D.T., Caxito, F. and Uhlein, G., 2019.
Barium-isotopic constraints on the origin of post-Marinoan barites. Earth and
Planetary Science Letters, 519, pp.234-244. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.epsl.2019.05.018

and I think I prefer this title:

Barium Isotopes collected from world-wide oceans from 2016-01-01 to 2019-01-01 and
analyzed at WHOI

Thank you again for your help

best

Peter

Dear Peter Crockford,

I am performing the preliminary appraisal on your submission and I have a few questions and
comments regarding your submission. If your submission is accepted for archive, this email
and your response will be included in the Archival Information Package (AIP) to provide
provenance for changes made to your original submission.

#1 Sheet 2 of the dataset Excel file has a column for definitions that is blank. Do you
have the definitions for the terms? Definitions can be attached as a file to this email
or just included in the email itself.

#2 The reference to the published paper in your title will be removed and a cross-reference
will be created. Can you provide the complete citation for the publication?

#3 The data manager assigned to your submission will want to get your approval for making
the title a little more specific to enable future users to find and use your data. A couple
possible titles are added below. If one of them meets your approval or if you would like to
provide a different title, please indicate your preference.
WHOI Barium Isotopes from 2016-01-01 to 2019-01-01

#3a WHOI analyzed Barium Isotopes collected from word-wide oceans from 2016-01-01 to 2019-01-01

#3b Barium Isotopes collected from word-wide oceans from 2016-01-01 to 2019-01-01 and analyzed by WHOI

#4 I extracted the coordinates from your data and created the attached map. This map will be used
as a preview graphic on the landing for your data unless you have an image that would be more
useful for future users to make a decision about your data. Location maps are the most
commonly used imgaes for datasets since it allows a visual representation where the data
were collected.

Regards,
Tom
