Subject: [Send2NCEI] data submission confirmation for Reference ID: HY28LM
From: ncei.archive@noaa.gov
To: arvind.shantharam@noaa.gov

Dear Kaitlin Graiff,

Thank you for submitting your data collection, titled "Habitat suitability modeling of deep-sea coral from Cordell Banks, California", to the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) via the NCEI proxy, Arvind Shantharam. Your submission package has been assigned Reference ID: HY28LM. After reviewing your data and metadata, NCEI will update you about the archival status of your submission package.

You will be notified if NCEI creates an archival information package (accession) of your data, including the unique identifier for that archival information package (the NCEI Accession number). When your data are archived, NCEI keeps an exact copy of the data and metadata you sent and will develop necessary tracking and discovery metadata. In addition, NCEI may create additional versions to ensure your data are preserved for long-term access.

Upon completion of these archival ingest actions, NCEI will publish your data online (including a copy of your original files). You will receive another email once your submission package (Reference ID: HY28LM) is published for global access. In addition, NCEI may include all or part of your data into one or more product databases, such as the World Ocean Database.

No additional action is required from you at this time: This is a system-generated email notification to complete the Send2NCEI submission tracking process. If you have any questions about NCEI archival processes, please contact ncei.archive@noaa.gov. Also, if at any time you wish to update your submission package, please send an e-mail to ncei.archive@noaa.gov with your request. Please remember to include your submission package Reference ID.

Thank you again for choosing to archive your data with the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI).

Hi Arvind,

I've located the files for this modeling project. Attached is a zip file with the data. The names of the model folders use numeric codes for the coral taxa: 514=Swiftia 529=Stylaster.

Best,
Kaitlin

Dear Kaitlin Graiff,
My name is Arvind Shantharam and I am a data manager for the NOAA's Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program. As part of my data management duties, I am tasked with archiving data products from DSCRTP-funded projects. Currently, I am working my way through previous habitat suitability modeling projects, looking for data products that still need to be archived. Recently, I came across a modeling project you participated in and was focused in the Cordell Bank Marine Sanctuary (LINK). According to our records, the model input and outputs from the project have not been archived and currently do not have a copy in our data holdings.

Do you know if this data has been archived before? If not, we would be happy to archive it on your behalf. We apologize if you sent them previously for archival. We suffered a recent server crash and lost many files. Recordkeeping from this time period on our end was also a bit spotty. Would you happen to have a copy of these data products or know someone who does that I might contact? I could not locate the contact info of the other authors in the report so I am reaching out to you.
I appreciate your time in consideration of this inquiry and look forward to hearing from you.
Please reach out if you have any questions.

Regards,
Arvind Shantharam
