Files:

about/
This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0058858_lonlat.txt - Contains geographic position where these data were
collected (longitude in the left column and latitude in
the right column, both in degrees).

0058858_map.jpg - Sample location map for these data.

0-email.txt - E-mail from James Pierson requesting that NODC archive the
              attached data and information files.

1-email.txt - E-mail from James Pierson to NODC with attached data and
information files, which he had updated.

data/0-data/
This directory contains the data and information files as submitted to NODC by
James Pierson on October 20, 2009.

data/1-data/
This directory contains files that NODC converted from their originally
submitted format under the data/0-data/ directory to formats that NODC can
better preserve.

*.csv - Comma-separated-value (CSV) files that NODC converted from the Microsoft
Excel file (Forays III-IX Calanus and Metridia Net data.xlsx). There
is one CSV file per spreadsheet in the Excel file.

*.pdf - PDF/A files that NODC converted from the Microsoft Excel file
(Forays III-IX Calanus and Metridia Net data.xlsx). There
is one PDF/A file per spreadsheet in the Excel file.

The naming convention for the CSV and PDF/A files is as follows:

Forays III-IX Calanus and Metridia Net data_S.eee

where "S" is the name of the spreadsheet in the Excel file (i.e., III, IV, VI,
VII, VIII, or IX) and "eee" indicates the file format (i.e., csv or pdf).
