Comparison of CTDs from R/V Brook McCall to climatology

[Please note that the climatological fields detailed here are
being released as an experimental version to help with the tracking
and understanding the effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The
fields have not been fully quality controlled and may contain
erroneous values. Further, the CTD data from the R/V Brook
McCall have not undergone rigorous quality control.]

Temperature, salinity, and oxygen profiles from each CTD cast
of the R/V Brook McCall in the wellhead area during May, 2010
compared to the climatological mean in the same area.
The climatology used is the extended depth 1/4 degree climatology
(see readme file in directory gulf_clim for more details).
Measured values (interpolated to standard depths) and these
values minus the annual (all-data), spring, and May
    climatologies are given.

All CTD casts for each of the four cruises are included, one
file per cruise, sequentially numbered from the earliest cruise.

   Files:

   gulf_cruise1.dat
   gulf_cruise2.dat
   gulf_cruise3.dat
   gulf_cruise4.dat

Form of files:

The files are comma separated value (csv) files. Each line represents
one standard depth for the cast. Each line contains
Station number (BXX, where XX is a sequential number from earliest
CTD cast), date (month/day/year),time (GMT),latitude, longitude,
depth (meters, negative), temperature (degC) at depth, temperature minus
annual climatology, temperature minus spring climatology, temperature
minus May climatology, salinity (PSS-78) at depth, salinity minus
annual climatology, salinity minus spring climatology, salinity minus
May climatology, oxygen (ml/l) at depth, oxygen minus annual
climatology, oxygen minus spring climatology, oxygen minus May climatology.
