    The following concerns tapes: d00367, d00368 and d00369.
     The following objectives were fulfilled through the program,
"CONVERT.F": 
1.  the blocked data was divided into 80-byte logical records,
2.  the originator's ASCII characters were converted into standard ASCII
characters,
3.  file-wide sequence numbers were appended to each logical record. 
     Also, program, "CHKCHARS.F" was written and used to check for unusual
characters such as "!", "@", "#", "?", etc.
     Finally, upon the conversion of the ASCII characters, alphabetic
characters were found in the sequence number field (78-80) of most of the
records of tapes d00367 and d00368.
