Oceanographic and Marine Meteorological Observations on board Research Vessels

Oceanographic observations are conducted in the seas adjacent to Japan and in
the western North Pacific on board six vessels: Ryofu Maru, Keifu Maru,
Kofu Maru , Shumpu Maru , Chofu Maru and Seifu Maru.
Marine meteorological data observed by the research vessels are included from
this issue in addition to the hydrographic, subsurface temperature and subsurface current observations.
Shumpu Maru was decommissioned in March 2001.
