Actions:

Data set was copied from the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction
Studies(COAPS) server to NODC.  Data were then copied into the
data/0-data/ directory of this archive information package.

NODC received MD5 cryptographic checksums with these data. During ingest
processing, NODC verified that the integrity of these data were maintained
during transmission by recalculating sums and comparing against those
received from the data provider.  The original MD5 sums files used to
transfer these data from the data provider were discarded after the
extraction and validation processes were successfully completed.

about/
This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0092519_lonlat.txt - Contains sample locations for these data.  Each row
                     contains the geographical position where these data were
                     collected (longitude in the left column and latitude in
                     the right column, both in degrees).

0092519_map.jpg - Sample location map for these data.

SAMOS_WTED-2012-06_FGDC.xml - Metadata record for the archived data, in
                              Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) Content
                              Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata
                              (FGDC-STD-001-1998) XML format.

originator_variable_map.csv - A comma-separated-value file, which maps the
                              originator keys that are not in the file
                              data/0-data/original_variable_map.csv to the
                              originator (variable) names and units and to the
                              NODC data types.

dirinfo.txt - A text file, which contains the ship's call sign and year/month
              of data collection, to facilitate NODC's online dissemination of
              this data set.

data/0-data/
This directory contains the data files as submitted to NODC.  Included with
the data are files that describe the naming convention, the file formatting,
and data processing information.
