                     Instruction for my Dear Daphnia

      Officially transmitted  the  oceanographical data are contained the in-
formation of complex expedition "BAREX-84", conducted in the summer and in
the  autumn  by  1984,  forces of 16 courts belonging to various departments.
Total is more 2350 stations (Table 1).

     The data are brought in cruises files, the name of which will be formed
from official (gegister)of the number of a vessel ( 3 symbols ) and  number  of
the cruise ( 4 symbols ), between which symbol "_" is given. Standard expansi-
on of a name of file ".dan".  The given information contains only  supervision
over meteorological parameters and condition of a surface of the sea,  and the
profiles of temperature and salinity.  The tables of supervision for each a file
in  the form standard for Russia TGM-3,  are indicated in similar files of pos-
sessing expansions ".lst",  the maps of space distribution of stations are given
in files with similar names and expansion ".pcx".
  Quantity of measurements of separate parameters and  the  range  of  their
significances  is  given in table 2.  Here the reference to the description of a
technique of supervision ( table 3) is given.
