SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS                          

• CMERI has  successfully designed and developed a stepper motor-driven microprocessor controlled   Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) for application is strategic and safety related areas as well as in routine material handling applications in manufacturing units.
• In the areas of cutting tools, the institute has successfully developed high performance ceramic cutting   tools of zirconia toughened alumina(ZTA) for moderately low and very high cutting speeds.
• Keyless lock assembly, a compact device for transmission of constant torque, is an example of some of the innovative products developed by the CMERI.
• To prevent the loss of potency of immunization vaccines during storage, the institute has designed and  developed a walk-in refrigerator-cum-freezer.
• A hydraulic knap-sack power sprayer (atomization type) has been designed to eradicate pests and    pathogens that threaten crops.
• A cost effective reverse osmosis plant has been designed and developed by CMERI for removal of    brackishness of drinking water.
• The institute has developed an indigenous epoxy concrete technology to replace cast iron machine      structures and machine elements.
