The web page provides access to available reports and products. information The State of the Climate is a collection of periodic summaries recapping climate-related occurrences on both a global and national scale. The State of the Climate Monthly Overview - Global Snow & Ice report provides a global view of snow and ice, placing the data into a historical perspective. Because the Northern Hemisphere has the vast majority of the planet's seasonal snow cover, the report focuses on the Northern Hemisphere snow cover extent. In addition to snow cover, sea ice extents in both hemispheres are included. Annual reports are available from 2002 with some monthly reports in 2005 and 2006. Regular monthly reports begin in 2007. Not all topics are covered in each report and level of detail varies.
