This collection contains two types of companion files: 1) NOAA AIP 1a telemetry file, which contains the AIP minor frame data as generated on-board the satellite for the orbit, and 2) IJPS Ancillary file, a tar file that contains all of the ancillary input files required by the preprocessor in order to identically reproduce its output (e.g., the 1b* data sets). The NOAA datatypes in the collection include the following files: AIP1A telemetry, calibration parameter database, clock drift, four line elements, and two line elements. The EUMETSAT datatypes in the collection include the following files: calibration, OBT-UTC correlation factors, orbital state vectors, and telemetry. In addition, there are files for equator crossing, IJPS ancillary files, orbit number files, and PSCEARS Initialization Report. Contact the NCEI Customer Engagement Branch for assistance at: ncei.orders@noaa.gov. order dataset The IJPS is the result of a cooperative effort between the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT). It is comprised of two polar-orbiting satellite systems and their respective ground segments. The IJPS will provide and improve the operational meteorological and environmental forecasting and global climate monitoring services worldwide. This program manages and plans for all space and ground data system services required to ensure continued availability of global environmental data from current and future polar spacecraft. NOAA entered into an agreement with the EUMETSAT to participate in the Initial Joint Polar-orbiting Satellite System (IJPS). The agreement calls for cooperation between NOAA and EUMETSAT to provide meteorological data for "Morning" and "Afternoon" orbits by complementing each other's polar satellite global coverage. Under this agreement NOAA will also provide some of the instruments on-board the EUMETSAT satellites.
