AVHRR Surface Reflectance CDR

The Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) Surface Reflectance Climate Data Record (CDR) measures the solar radiation reflected from Earth's surface in red (around 640 nm) and near infrared (around 860 nm) spectral ranges. Surface reflectance is a key variable that supplies the primary input for higher-level land surface geophysical parameters. Output is generated daily on .05° by .05° grid using data from 1981–present.
