This FTP directory contains the following items:

1) documentation (subdirectory): PDF and DOC formatted user documentation for many of the data
products offered with the CDO (Climate Data Online) web-system found at www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cdo-web/.
These include the GHCN-D data and U.S. Climate Normals (1981-2010) products. 

2) samples (subdirectory): Data samples for many of the CDO products offered with the CDO (Climate 
Data Online) web-system found at www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cdo-web. Climate Normals, hourly/15-minute
 precipitation data and GHCN-D data among other types are included and accessed via links from the 
CDO web-system.
