We systematically sampled 14 sites (13 in Utah (ABM, BCL, BMC, BOM, BRO, EPH, HNR, MUR, PSG, RBC, UFR, WCH, and WUN) and 1 in eastern Nevada (WAH)). In addition, we collected similar data non-systematically at six sites in Utah (INC, MON, OWP, RAY, and TVP). These 19 sites include a broad range of forest types (from pinyon-juniper woodlands to spruce-fir forests) and fire regime types. We also used data from all these sites in a study of the climate drivers of regional fire years (Brown et al. 2008). We systematically sampled fire scars and tree-recruitment dates across broad gradients in elevation and forest type at 13 sites in Utah and 1 in eastern Nevada to characterize spatial and temporal variation in historical fire regimes as well as forest structure and composition. We collected similar data non-systematically at five additional sites in Utah. These 19 sites include a broad range of forest types (from pinyon-juniper woodlands to spruce-fir forests) and fire regime types. In this report, we summarize local-scale spatial and temporal variation with site-specific details of historical fire regimes and forests that will be useful for local natural resource and fire management of the individual sites. For each site, we report topography, chronologies of fire and tree recruitment, and properties derived from those chronologies such as time-averaged fire regime parameters (mean fire interval and fire severity) and changes in forest composition and structure that have occurred since the late 1800s","pubRank":"1"}],"site":[{"NOAASiteId":"58948","siteName":"Mytoge Mountains - IMPD USUFR001","siteCode":null,"mappable":"Y","locationName":"Continent>North America>United States Of America>Utah","geo":{"geoType":"Feature","geometry":{"type":"POINT","coordinates":["38.570087","-111.656436"]},"properties":{"southernmostLatitude":"38.570087","northernmostLatitude":"38.570087","westernmostLongitude":"-111.656436","easternmostLongitude":"-111.656436","minElevationMeters":"2920","maxElevationMeters":"2920"}},"paleoData":[{"dataTableName":"USUFR001","NOAADataTableId":"46628","earliestYear":1503,"mostRecentYear":2003,"timeUnit":"CE","earliestYearBP":447,"mostRecentYearBP":-53,"earliestYearCE":1503,"mostRecentYearCE":2003,"coreLengthMeters":null,"dataTableNotes":null,"species":[{"speciesCode":"PCEN","scientificName":"Picea engelmannii Parry ex Engelm.","resourceId":null,"commonName":["Engelmann spruce"]},{"speciesCode":"PSME","scientificName":"Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.)
