Well above normal temperatures and very dry conditions have continued through the first two weeks of March. A couple of cold fronts have brought very minimal rainfall, mainly across the lower Texas coast and lower Rio Grande Valley, and only a brief respite from late spring or early summer like temperatures. Over the past 90 days...the majority of rainfall has fallen across mainly Cameron, Willacy, and coastal Kenedy counties. Coastal portions of Cameron, Willacy, and Kenedy counties have received anywhere between 50 to 90 percent of their normal rainfall.
