CRP 20210319 <![CDATA[ National Weather Service Corpus Christi TX 259 PM CST Sat Mar 13 2021 Exceptional Drought (D4) Develops Across Webb County and portions of Duval County from Lack of Sufficient Rainfall Moderate Drought (D2) to Extreme Drought (D3) Continues Across Much of South Texas SYNOPSIS... The March 9 Drought Monitor has added Exceptional Drought (D4) across much of the eastern half of Webb County, including the city of Laredo, as well as a sliver of far southwestern portions of Duval County. Outside of D4 exists Extreme Drought (D3) encompassing most of Duval County, southwestern McMullen County, most of La Salle County (foregoing the extreme northern portions of the county) and much of Webb County except the far western tip which is split with Severe Drought (D2) and Moderate Drought (D1). Other areas of Moderate Drought (D1) exist across the coastal counties clipping far eastern Kleberg County and bisecting San Patricio County then following the western county border of Refugio County then northward across most of Victoria County. Another region of D1 exists across much of western McMullen County and much of central Live Oak County. Outside of this and between D3 areas exists Severe Drought (D2).
