VEF 20210319 <![CDATA[ NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LAS VEGAS NV 518 AM PDT WED MAR 3 2021 ...EXTREME TO EXCEPTIONAL DROUGHT CONDITIONS CONTINUE ACROSS MOST OF THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN AND MOJAVE DESERT... .SYNOPSIS: According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor from February 25, extreme (D3) to exceptional (D4) drought continues to exist across a large swath of the southern Great Basin and Mojave Desert. Small sliver of Severe (D2) drought is present across the western Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County in eastern California. .Precipitation: A few weather systems in late January and early February provided brief periods of precipitation across the area. Much of the better precipitation fell across the southern Sierra Nevada as snow.
