# Analysis method: Macroscopic charcoal methodology. Fine resolution and coarse resolution.
#                  Fine resolution contiguous 2 cc samples taken at 1 cm increments. Treated
#                  with SHMP & bleach; sieved and wet counted.
#                  Coarse resolution 2 cc samples taken contiguously at 4 cm depth x 1 cm surface
#                  width and v-channel cut.  Treated with H2O2, sieved, oven-dried and counted.

# Location description: Big Fish Lake is found in the Ortonville Recreation Area (state park) in a deciduous 
#                       park. It is situated outside the Saginawa Lobe moraine (E of), and is of lacustrine 
#                       natural open water glacial origin.
#                       Very fresh water lake during lateglacial time; ostracodes present (Cytherissa
#                       lacustris) alternating with charophytes. Much of Big Fish lake sediments are gray
#                       clay with many fine black laminations that disappear upon exposure to air.  Limonite
#                       and Najas seeds, are also features of this lake.
