DATA DESCRIPTION: This file is contains clay mineralogy, Nd/Sm and Pb isotope data from the GISP2 ice core, from Biscaye et al. (1997). Ages are calendar years before present (1950) on the layer-counted timescale (Meese et al., 1997, file countage.dat). AlSi are aluminosilicate insoluble particles. Beta is a dimensionless parameter related to grain-size sorting; it is the negative slope of the Junge distribution; lower beta values correspond to higher relative abundance of coarse particles. '999999' refers is used for non-measured parameters. Data on possible dust source regions are given in the companion file srcmin.dat.
