Annals of Glaciology, v.36, p.51-56. NOTES: This is a composite chronology of living and subfossil samples. Living trees (NBL) were growing on a bedrock knob at the west side of the bay mouth, subfossil samples (PW35-39, NJ01-03) were from the east side of the lagoon, and three additional subfossil logs (PW58-61) were from Ultramarine Glacier (6 km to the southeast). Data were also used to reconstruct glacier histories. Series in chronologies were power-transformed and then standardized using negative exponential curves, linear regression lines and 67%n splines. Work was funded by the U.S. NSF under grant No. 9912124. 2020 Update: A missing ring (micro-ring that pinches-out) was found at 1048 CE. Only 2 samples extend to 1048 CE, and these were remeasured for the two earliest decades. Core PW38A1 remeasured from 1033-1051 CE, and core PW38A2 remeasured for 1034-1051 CE.
