Southern Old Black Spruce 2, Saskatchewan, Canada - CANA613 Additional Site Information Anastasia Sniderhan, Steven Mamet, Jill Johnstone, Jennifer Baltzer NOTES: Tree ring sampled; trees were sampled extensively (living and dead stems) using an increment borer from three 10 x 10 m plots and two 5 x 5 m plots in 2012. Variable plot sizes were used to achieve similar sample size amongst plots with differing stem densities. Additional trees were sampled from two sets of transects in 2015, where a core sample was taken from the nearest dominant or co-dominant tree every 5 m along two parallel 45 m transects, 25 m apart. Subsample of tree for delta 13C analysis.
