Nature Climate Change 2:172-176. NOTES: ALFD (3 Alfred Street, Auckland) was a two-storey wooden villa built ca. 1878, remodelled in the early 1900s and demolished in 2003. Thirty- four kauri samples were collected from framing timber during demolition for contribution to the late-Holocene kauri chronology. 16 series crossdated. Raw ring width data (0.01 mm). Please note because of the large size of kauri and industrialized production (a) the series only represent part of the growth span of the tree; (b) there may be probable 'same-tree' sets in the assemblage (3 pairs identified); (c) timber may be derived from different forests in the kauri growth region. For these reasons ALFD is a complex set. CRN is based on 8 series only and half the assemblage was dated independantly. Site report is available on request.
