Radiocarbon 51(2): 711-720 Notes: The sample data set is from the tree-ring widths in oak charcoal found at the Tille Höyük archaeological site in Adiyaman, Turkey. It includes the raw measurements of 13 trees from 52 fragments in 22 collected samples, and these data were used to build the Tille Höyük 2009 chronology also available here. Six of the tree sequences are based on the measurements of one fragment each; three are from two fragments; one from three fragments; and the other three tree sequences contain from 8 to 15 fragments (see list below). The "number of samples included" in the Tille Höyük chronology data set are from the number of trees included in each year. The absolute BCE dates in both data sets are based on the results of wiggle-matching the radiocarbon dates of seven decadal segments to the IntCal04 radiocarbon curve, and have an error of ±13.5 years (see Griggs and Manning 2009).
