Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data represent samples of the bubblegum coral identified as Paragorgia arborea as reported by Herrera et al., 2012. Based on subsequent genetic studies by the authors, the Pacific form of this species is now reported as Paragorgia pacifica. Changes to the original dataset may have been made to conform to the National Database Schema and for quality control purposes.
