Data Set Description: This biological occurence dataset was provided by Kennedy et al. (2025) to NOAA’s Deep-sea Coral Research and Technology Program. Observations were from the vessel(s), Falkor R/V, using the platform(s): SuBastian ROV. Observation dates range from 2021-06-25 to 2021-06-28. Marine Ecoregions of the World (MEOW) explored include: Phoenix/Tokelau/Northern Cook Islands. Localities explored include: Howland and Baker unit of the Pacific Islands Heritage Marine National Monument | unnamed seamount East flank; Howland and Baker unit of the Pacific Islands Heritage Marine National Monument | unnamed seamount North flank; Howland and Baker unit of the Pacific Islands Heritage Marine National Monument | unnamed seamount West flank; Howland and Baker unit of the Pacific Islands Heritage Marine National Monument | unnamed seamount South flank. Changes to the originally submitted dataset may have been made to conform to the standards of NOAA’s National Database for Deep-sea Corals and Sponges.
