Data Set Description: This biological occurence dataset was provided by Pérez & Zamponi (2004) to NOAA’s Deep-sea Coral Research and Technology Program. Observations were from the vessel(s), Orient Maru R/V; Bahia Blanca R/V; Undine R/V; Maneco R/V, using the platform(s): NA. Observation dates range from 1925-03 to 1976-11. Marine Ecoregions of the World (MEOW) explored include: Malvinas/Falklands; Patagonian Shelf; Uruguay-Buenos Aires Shelf. Localities explored include: Argentinian continental slope between the Patagonian coast and the Falkland Islands; Tierra del Fuego; Estuary of Río de la Plata; NA; Mar de Plata. Changes to the originally submitted dataset may have been made to conform to the standards of NOAA’s National Database for Deep-sea Corals and Sponges. Please reach out to: Pérez, Carlos D.
