Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data represent observtions of deep-sea corals and sponges from stereo still images recorded by drop camera in the Aleutian Islands during a 2014 cruise aboard the F/V Alaska Endeavor. This was the second of two major surveys in the Aleutian Islands supported by NOAA’s Deep Sea Coral Research & Technology Program. These surveys were part of the Program’s Alaska Deep-Sea Coral & Sponge Research Initiative (2012-2014). Changes to the original dataset may have been made to conform to the National Database Schema and for quality control purposes.
