Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data represent observtions of deep-sea corals and sponges from a towed camera in the Gulf of Maine during a 2013 cruise aboard the R/V Connecticut. This was the first of a series of of expeditions designed to survey deep-sea coral habitats in the Gulf supported by NOAA’s Deep Sea Coral Research & Technology Program. These surveys were part of the Program’s Northeast Deep-Sea Coral & Sponge Research Initiative (2012-2015). Changes to the original dataset may have been made to conform to the National Database Schema and for quality control purposes. Further information can be found at:
