Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data set contains records of deepwater corals and sponges contributed by the NOAA, Northeast Fisheries Science Center and the University of Connecticut. The research was conducted aboard the vessel Connecticut in 2014 using the Kraken 2 ROV as a sampling vehicle. The principle investigator was Peter Auster with David Packer acting as lead annotator and data producer. Locations explored include the Western Jordan Basin, the Outer Schoodic Ridges, and the Central Jordan Basin.
