Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data represent records of selected deep-sea corals and sponges observed from ROV video during a research cruise of the NOAA SHip Okeanos Explorer, March 19 - April 7, 2012 in the Northern Gulf of Mexico. These records do not represent all corals observed on the surveys. Changes to the original dataset may have been made to conform to the National Database Schema and for quality control purposes.
