Data Set Description: This biological occurence dataset was provided by NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research | University of Hawai’i to NOAA’s Deep-sea Coral Research and Technology Program. Observations were from the vessel(s), Okeanos Explorer R/V, using the platform(s): Deep Discoverer ROV. Observation dates range from 2023-04-15 to 2023-04-26. Marine Ecoregions of the World (MEOW) explored include: Oregon, Washington, Vancouver Coast and Shelf; Northern California. Localities explored include: US Pacific Continental Margin | Tillamook Flats; US Pacific Continental Margin | Mendocino Flats; US Pacific Continental Margin | Trinidad slump; US Pacific Continental Margin | Horseshoe; US Pacific Continental Margin | North Astoria Canyon; US Pacific Continental Margin | Quinault Canyon; US Pacific Continental Margin | Nitinat Canyon. Changes to the originally submitted dataset may have been made to conform to the standards of NOAA’s National Database for Deep-sea Corals and Sponges.
