Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data were acquired from the University of Connecticut’s Northeast Underwater Research, Technology and Education Center (formerly National Undersea Research Center (NURC)) and was provided by Dr. Peter Auster: peter.auster@uconn.edu. Changes to the original dataset may have been made to conform to the National Database Schema and for quality control purposes. These are video records of octocorals observed during ROV and submersible dives in the Gulf of Maine and Northeast U.S. Canyons.
